Primacy: |

The Morris Anime Club is a non-profit organization created by the Morris
Area Public Library and dedicated to increasing the awareness and popularity
of Japanese Animation ("anime"), by providing regularly scheduled, free,
entertaining and enlightening experiences through public showings of Japanese
animation. |
II. |
Name of Organization: |
|
The name of the organization shall hereby be known as the Morris Anime
Club. |
III. |
Purpose of Organization: |
A. |
The primary purpose of the Club shall be the promotion of Japanese
Animation, referred to as "Anime", in accordance to policies established
by the Morris Area Public Library. |
B. |
The second purpose of this organization is the promotion of Japanese
animation as a means of learning more about Japanese culture. |
C. |
The main activity used to pursue the purposes of the Club shall be
the showing of Japanese animation on a free and regular basis. |
IV. |
Requirements for Membership: |
A. |
No person will be denied membership in the Club due to race, ethnicity,
age, sex, nationality, religious or sexual orientation, physical or mental
capacities. Membership may be denied to, or revoked from, any member who
is not courteous or is abusive of fellow members, or violates Morris Area
Public Library rules and regulations. |
B. |
Membership in the Club can be granted to any interested person provided
they are thirteen (13) years or older. |
C. |
Members under the age of 13 shall be admitted with the written permission
of their parent/guardian. |
D. |
Failure to abide by the rules and regulations may result in membership
being revoked at the discretion of the Library's Young Adult Outreach Coordinator
(the "Club leader") or the Library Director. |
V. |
Meetings: |
|
There shall be a meeting of the Club on the first and third Saturday
of the month. This can be changed, as needed. |
VI. |
Responsibilities of Members and Guests: |
|
Any violation of the rules may result in membership being revoked.
Ignorance of the rules is no excuse. These rules are for the benefit of
everyone, members and nonmembers alike.

No drinks except water in the theatre area. |
2. |
Please be considerate of others when watching the anime. Loud comments
or continuous talking annoys others, and is not permitted. |
3. |
No horseplay or disruptive behavior allowed. This includes but is
not limited to running, fighting, pushing, and bouncing objects against
the wall or ceiling. |
4. |
The Morris Area Public Library and the Club are not responsible for
lost items. |
5. |
Please pick up your trash and deposit in trash containers. |

VII. |
Rights and Privileges of Members: |
|
Following all established procedures:
A. |
A membership card will be issued to all Club members. Presentation
of this card will waive the $1.00 rental fee for all Library anime DVD's.
This card must be presented at the time of rental. |
B. |
Members have the right to suggest amendments and changes to this constitution
and/or any policies established by the Club leader. |
C. |
Members have the right to suggest to the Club leader anime for viewing
during established viewing times. |
D. |
Guest status given to non-members is granted per event.At the conclusion
of the activity, non-member guest status is lost. |
E. |
Any action by a guest in violation of any rules established by the
Club or Library may warrant the immediate loss of guest status at the discretion
of the Club leader. |
