Overview: (RightStuf Website)
Noriko's got one of those "have to honor dad's memory" things going on. You see, he'd had a little problem a while back and lost his fleet (and doesn't know where to find it) ... so naturally she's got to get into space herself and do something heroic once she gets there.
All she has to do is survive intense rivalry from her classmates, learn a dizzying amount of information, and survive long enough to graduate the Space Academy!
Review:
Overall, very good.  Complex charaters, good story, very cool mecha.  The premise of schoolgirls in school to learn to be pilots is great, sadly only used in the first episode, I would have like to that lengthened.  As they go off into space is follows alot of the space mecha storyline (which isn't all bad).
Two things really smacked me up side the head that I didn't like.  Both of them in the second episode.  First, the whole traveling at the speed of light thing.  I'm no science major but how does three months pass by on earth while one you are traveling at the speed of light for one minute?  Anyone who can explain that to me please, please email me.  Second, fanservice scene.  Maybe it's just me, but couldn't they have their talk in a living room.  I mean do we have to have a bath scene with seven different angles to make sure we see them naked?
