Review:
I haven't seen this many Chicago Police cars crash since "The Blues Brothers".
Like Gunsmith Cats this anime is based in Chicago and does a very good
job at giving the look and feel of Chicago (I should know I live there).
Starting off from the beginning when two robbers stole a bunch of money
from a mall they took a hostage, who was nude for no apparent reason and
later when Rally was getting up we watch her getting dressed, why? I don't
know. I mean did they need to meet some sort of bizarre quota
of fanservice?
However, after those two things it turns around and gets fairly good.
We really don't get to know the characters too well in a one forty-five
minute OAV, if there had been more episodes I might have liked a bit better.
The Police investigator after the Bean Bandit is very reminiscent of Zentigata
from Lupin III, although he lucks out and has a car just like Rally and
Minniy May have in Gunsmith Cats.
I think my biggest problem with it was the villain and her "lover" who
is teenage girl and the way she treats her. One interesting thing
I want to know is: Is the Bean Bandit an cyborg or something? He take bullets
like he's made of metal and he even take being hit by cars like it has
small slap. Basically, if you like Gunsmith Cats you'll like this.
A definite rental.
Who you gonna call? ROADBUSTER!!! |
